Venue:Dia Beacon (3 Beekman Street Beacon, New York 12508)

Date:2025/10/4 - 2027/10 ( two-year exhibition period)

The Hong Foundation announces its significant support of Tehching Hsieh: Lifeworks 1978–1999, the Taiwanese American artist’s first comprehensive retrospective opening at Dia Beacon on October 4, 2025. The exhibition is co-curated by Humberto Moro, Dia’s deputy director of program, and Adrian Heathfield, guest curator, with Liv Cuniberti, curatorial assistant.

“As a long-time admirer of Tehching Hsieh’s work, I find his life story nothing short of legendary,” said Grace Cheung, Executive Director of the Hong Foundation. “In today’s context, his works speak powerfully on migration, freedom, endurance, and personal beliefs. Supporting this retrospective, and witnessing his practice showcased at such an important institution, is a deep honor.”

Tehching Hsieh, through a lifetime of practice, has opened a unique and irreplaceable chapter in the history of contemporary art. We also look forward to strengthening Hsieh’s connection to a new generation of Taiwan artists.
