This exhibition seeks to create encounters between the self and the material world through bodily participation in site-specific installations. By rediscovering how we see and feel within these shared moments, the works delve into the dynamic connection formed by the intertwining of body and space.
Within the world, dualities such as light and shadow or existence and passing cease to be opposites; instead, they drift between transition and change. In the cycle of time, I learn from the ebb and flow of day and night. Moving into the darkness, a lingering glow reminds me of the light. While light reveals the world, the night allows objects to exist in an ambiguous state, evoking a sense of bottomless, infinite space.

ARTIST
SEAN TSENG
Sean Tseng (b. 1995, Taipei) earned his MA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art (2020) and a BA in Advertising from National Chengchi University (2018). He is currently pursuing an MA in Philosophy at National Chengchi University.
His practice frequently juxtaposes industrial materials—such as cement and metal—with natural elements like gathered stones, branches, and water. By examining the interactions between these materials, he reveals rhythmic layers within spatial imagery to explore the depths of perception. Integrating installation, video, and objects, his work focuses on the possibilities, states, and rhythms that emerge when substances meet, placing the body and sensory experience at the core of his artistic practice.
