Floating Dust

2024 Tung Chung Prize|GHOST IN THE SEA-M
The establishment of "Floating Dust" is the work of two creators who are also life partners. One specializes in collecting and dismantling hardware components from recycling sites, assembling and recomposing them into machines that evoke subtle, emotional memories. The other tends to wander through everyday life, examining fragmented moments between the city and the suburbs, deconstructing them to their most basic elements and categorizing them to form a personal environmental system. Imagination arises from dust, from the most polluted places. We wish to emphasize that these roots will accumulate into fertility and ultimately transform into a crystalline form of beauty.
