LULUGOODS is an all-rounded artifacts company that specializes in the sale of ceramic figurines and festival gifts. From development to mass production, marketing, and sales, it covers all operations of its merchandise. After countless years, it remains in the lead in the industry. During the heyday of Taiwan's OEM industry, cartoon animal figurines were manufactured in a significant proportion, primarily using ceramics and plaster. However, as the industrial ecology in Taiwan transformed, the once thriving export enterprises declined, leaving these outdated animals relegated to obscure historical corners. Through an imaginary entity called "LULUGOODS", the artist revisits the entire industry's story, tracing back to its origins. Starting from the methods of producing, the artist developed a series of narratives, which constructs a virtual production line where mass-producing animal artworks parallels breeding. After undergoing trials and adjustments, the artist refines the finest animal ornaments, advocating that "a perfect home cannot be without animal figurines." "LULUGOODS" serves as an ideal model of family life, presented in a humorous tone, illustrating an unverifiable imagination.

CHIA-YU HSIEH
Chia-Yu Hsieh lives and works in Taiwan. Chia-Yu creates works that focus on the early years kitsch aesthetics, throughout paintings, installations and projects. She loves the strange atmosphere left by these old things and the way it is presented in present days. She looks at these visual elements as objects of observation, in order to understand the particular historical significance behind them.
