Return to vision. When visual emerges, seeing、observation、correspondence…, it is a process of receiving. Identifying the indication of visual symbols by knowledge、original sins of painting ( reproduction / perspective issues )、stylizing art history context、studying on materials and techniques…, all the above leads to visual malfunction, form of painting only use to convey content. The art works we choose for this exhibition, connected with object and painting, trying to show another path of reading based on＂Object painting ＂. What is Object Painting? Through the sensation between painting and object, we gained a different cognition of “ painting object ” and “ painting itself ”. We don’t focus on colors、lines and modelings from art history to replicate the world we see, but to think how to use the essence of “ object “. Among painting and object, viewer’s initiative and the calling from personal experience are for not falling into rational seeing or fully sensitivity, but swing in between or just go parallel. The back and forth inside viewer’s mind is the route of pondering, expanding the border of painting’s understanding, taking “ object ” itself as the main idea of painting, we call it＂Object painting ＂. May this exhibition light up our original intention of seeing again.
