"Visage de la Vie" is an ongoing project. Starting with the concept of portraiture, I seek out candidates from diverse nationalities to holistically document the entire process of our exchange. The initiative encompasses a multi-stage process: an open call for participants, written questionnaires, photographic documentation, and the interaction during the painting process, culminating in the completion of physical portraits. Using art as a medium, the project explores the intricate relationship between the Self and the Other through the acts of interviewing and painting. Portraiture here is a bidirectional dialogue: how others narrate themselves, and how I represent them through listening. The gap between these perspectives creates a space for self-healing. By engaging with participants globally, the project redefines interpersonal boundaries and tests the potential of art as a tool for communication. Visualizing an inner world is a unique adventure; in each manifestation, the participant's distinct micro-cosmos brings profound fulfillment to both parties.
